A small additional fee applies for large baggage but either way this is top value. The ferry moves at a respectable 12 knots and features very comfortable padded seats, a toilet, helpful staff, and an upstairs open air area where you can stretch out and have a sleep or watch the scenery pass by. Kept meticulously clean by the staff, the ferry is non-smoking and generally very comfortable. The express trip departs Male at 3:30pm sharp Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Fridays the ferry departs Male at 10:30pm. Tuesdays there is a ferry that stops at several islands including ours, that departs Male at 2:30pm, departing from the ‘Villigili’ ferry terminal. Ferry times can change at short notice due to Public holidays or very bad weather.
